This Ketubah is inspired by ancient mosaics from Masada, Beit Alpha and the Hammath Tiberias synagogue. Symbols within the mosaic include two intertwining ropes, pomegranates (a traditional symbol of fertility), and olive branches (symbols of peace). The landscape at the top of the Ketubah shows two olive trees growing together with a stylized Jerusalem in the background. The lower trunks form the Hebrew letter shin, the holy designation commonly found on mezuzot.
